System Alux - low maintenance windows and doors
System Alux offers a suite of maintenance-free windows and doors that consists of aluminium on the outside to protect against all weather conditions and Scandinavian Pine with 90-100% heartwood on the inside to add to the warmth and beauty of your home.
Sash, frame and glazing bar dimensions have been designed to resemble traditional windows and doors. Whether you choose classic window solutions for an existing house or prefer large window screens, System Alux will always provide the optimum solution. Low E glass is standard and can be combined with safety glass and other types of functional glazing.
System Alux windows and doors are available in many sizes, combinations and types according to the needs of the customer. Aluminium clad windows are available in top-guided or side-hung solutions. Top-swing-, side-guided- or tilt & turn windows enable easy cleaning from the inside.
All windows are available with air vent as standard.
Fixing System Alux units is easy and can be carried out according to traditional methods.
System Alux provides you with all the advantages. A beautifully designed window internally and externally that would compliment any building and only requires a minimum amount of maintenance.
SYSTEM ALUX – Standard Window Specifications
Weight
Approx. weight of a standard window (1200mm x 1200mm) without transoms or mullions is from 38 kg - 45 kg, depending on the style (see detailed Aluminium Clad window specifications for more information).
Glass
- 26mm double glazed unit (4-18-4).
- Low E glass is supplied as standard
- Weight approx. 20 kg/m2
Surface treatment
- Timber is primed with a fungicide against rot and fungal attack.
- The timber section is then finished with a two-coat, water-based paint or
- translucent stain with a film thickness of at least 80 micron.
- Eurojoinery’s Alu-Clad products are powder coated on the outside to the standard Ral colour of your choice.
Groove for window board and frame extensions
Units can be grooved for window board and or frame extensions. The standard groove is 10mm.
Vents
Slot vents can be provided (except for fixed light windows).
